Recently, Laurence Martin and David Foxley from our UK team attended a highly informative event hosted by Northern Powergrid. This event provided valuable insights into Northern Powergrid’s crucial role in supporting the decarbonization plans of the Northeast, Yorkshire, and Northern Lincolnshire.
As the electricity distribution network operator, Northern Powergrid addressed pressing questions surrounding network capacity and availability. They also highlighted their innovative ‘flexibility first’ approach, which enables seamless integration of new connections required for low-carbon technologies. Additionally, they shared their efforts in supporting local authorities in developing their local area energy plans. It was a nice day in Newcastle, where we had the opportunity to interpret vital information that directly impacts our region in the north.
